Handmade for you Swaparoo!

This month I got to do a swap!
I've only done one other, ever, and so when this one came along I jumped on it!

The hostesses for this swap were Miss Angie and Beth
and let me tell you, they were fantastic!
Thanks ladies!

I got to send some fun stuff to Kortney at Kortney's Krazy Life.
In return she sent me some amazing handmade goodies!!!

Let's share, shall we?

Dave got the mail that afternoon and said I got a package.
I got a little excited opening up the corner, that I didn't notice there was an easier way.
oops.

Inside I found all this amazing awesomeness!

First up is this bath bar.
I fell in love.
Or my nose got stuck to the paper smelling it.
Either way, I love me some lilac, and lavender!

I also got this super cute keyring!
My keys have my life on them, but no personality.
Now, we've got some sass!
I love this!

Next up were these amazing rose earrings!
They are so amazing and beautiful!
I LOVE them!

Kortney also crochets, and she has quite the Etsy store to show for it!
I have a soft spot in my heart for crochet.
My great grandmother, grandmother and mom all crochet...
and I've dabbled here and there.....
so when I got this cute dish rag, I fell in love with it!

It came with a page of cute quotes and sayings, which I thought was so clever and fun!
My favorite {and it's true in this house for sure}:

"Thank God for dirty dishes, they have a tale to tell. While other folks go hungry, we're eating pretty well. With home, and health, and happiness, we shouldn't want to fuss. For by this stack of evidence, God's very good to us."

She also included this super cute ring, which my daughter has claimed.
LOL

Thanks again Kortney for all these wonderful handmade goodies!
I really enjoy seeing them, and I hope you are enjoying what I sent you!!!

For a look at what I sent Kortney, you can wander over to her blog.

That's it for me!

Hello brick wall....

This week snuck up on me.
As in...Oh my gosh, it's Wednesday...where did the first half of the week go?

I've been drained this week.
Totally overtired and just in autopilot.

I started doing some crafty sewing things, and I'm pretty excited to show them off.
But not today.
I have to get a few more things done, and I'll be good to go.

So, I've been quiet this week.

The news of Osama Bin Laden's capture hit us Sunday night, and while we're thrilled that he is gone, I'm sad that he's just another soul lost.

Sometimes seeing the world through God's eyes is really heartbreaking.
and draining.

I'm excited that this weekend is inter-National Scrapbooking Day {weekend}!
It should be fun!

I'm also excited for Mother's day....as my daughter is scheming.

I'm excited to send off my package this weekend to Kourtney, my Handmade Swaperoo Pal!
I'm hoping that she's going to like what I send!

And I'm excited that spring has FINALLY arrived in Utah.

Thank Goodness!

Handmade for you Swaparoo!

Hello lovelies!

I wanted to let you all in on a little secret....
My sweet friend Miss Angie, and her friend Beth are holding a swap.

What's a swap?

Well, you first sign up.
Then you get set up with another participant.
You then make/buy stuff for them.
Then mail your packages!

You've just swapped!
I've only participated in one other swap, but it was TONS of fun!

I CANNOT wait to participate in this one!

So, how do you get signed up?

Visit Miss Angie, and she'll tell you how to get on board!

Happy Swapping!
