Wishful Wednesday!

This week I'm wishing for one of these

this is a Shiba Inu puppy.
I miss my old dog.
I grew up with one of these dogs.

I wish that parenting was easier.

But at least my co-worker is hot.
*wink*

This has been my thought for years

I miss these guys

Hubby and I are going through the seasons.
We're on season 7.
We need 8-10.
I love them.

Wishful Wednesday!

Hi everyone!
I'm finally done with all things wedding.
It was amazing, and I'll update probably on Friday.
Lets just say, I partied like a rock star.
It was awesome!

Moving along.
Today is Wishful Wednesday!
If you want to play along, please feel free!
Here is my first post with more info!

This week, I'm wishing for more time.
And a housekeeper.
Maybe just a house!
Yeah.
I have many dreams and wishes.
We'll get there, we just have to quit having setbacks.
*ahem*

Since we don't have a house, and I fail to have anything on Pinterest that resembles time, I'll show you some of my favorite images and inspiration for a home that we'd like to own some day.
Yes.
{here is my HOUSE pinboard if you want to look closer}

I love the idea of concrete counter tops, but it goes to a new level with a concrete sink!

My grandmother has one of the originals of these in pink.
I love it.
But I'd love a turquoise one too.
Even if it is a reproduction.

I could see my mom doing this, and RAWKING it.
Maybe from the trees in the backyard?
Or instead of those horribly hot lights over the island?
She loves when I shout out to her.
This pin was totally for her benefit.
Moving along.

Genius.

Double genius.
Seriously.

We are social people.
One of the must haves when buying is the potential to have an amazing backyard entertaining area.
Anything else will not be considered.
We have such high expectations of a house when we are able to buy, we'll probably just have to build.
Sad.

So there is some of my inspiration for when we can *FINALLY* buy a house.
2 years hopefully.
We've been saying that for 7 years.
Hopefully this time we're actually right.

Have a fantastic Wednesday!
Don't forget to link up!
And snag my button too!
It's on the right.
At the top.
See it?
YaY!

I'm also linking up today at the Vintage Apple and This kind of love.

________________________________________________________________

Today, as I'm in the midst of helping my friend wrap up the last little details of her wedding, I thought it'd be fun to show you various things that I'd wish I'd have done.

Maybe we'll do a vow renewal?
Meh.
I'm not that crazy.
Not yet.
ha.

I got married in Vegas.
It was small.
It was just what we wanted.
But somedays a girl does still dream.
And that is okay!

{I found all images on Pinterest. Click the images to go to the original source if it is available}

My Colors: Red and Turquoise
{I did Red and Yellow originally}

The dress.
Be still my heart.

The amazing wedding party would have to have something super fun.
I must have superhero on the brain.

Super fun table settings.
Including the scrabble names.
So cute!

We'd drive away in my dream car, a 1959 Corvette Convertible.
Maybe we'll build one for our renewals?
What things are you wishing for this week?

I also am linking up with Vintage Apple and her "Oh, how Pinteresting" Wednesdays!
google

Now link up and tell me what you are wishing for!
Grab my button on the right, and put it in your post!
xoxo

Dear Pinterest....

If you are already on Pinterest, and you follow ME, you know that I'm in love.
I have found so many things that I want to do.
That I will do.
And that I absolutely love.
Hundreds of images.
Which is why I love it.

some of my boards

It's perfect for meal planning.
I pin a new recipe to try later, and while I'm doing my menu, I search images.

It's fantastic for inspiration.
I have a sewing/craft board and a digi scrap board.

I'm all over it.

But some people "don't get it".
Or are not sure how to use it.
{mom}

So what is Pinterest?
They best way to explain it is that it's visual bookmarking.
It bookmarks images, so that you can find it later.
So you remember what that bookmark is.
And it's all on the internet so when your computer crashes, you don't loose your bookmarks.

So I wanted to give you a few tips on what to use it for.

When you sign up/in for the first time, you'll have boards that are already created for you.
But don't get stuck in those boxes.
Like to read/learn about living green?
Create a board.
You have this dire urge to find pictures of homes so that you can constantly do yours again and again?
Create a board.
You love dogs and want their cute little mugs where you can see them daily.
Create a board.

You get the idea.

So how do you get the images bookmarked?

Find your favorite spot to get the info and images, then pin an image.

I do recommend downloading their "Pin It" button for your browser.
Makes your pinning so much easier.
I really don't know how to do it any other way.

But also don't forget to start following others.
Import your email addresses.
Link to Facebook and Twitter.
This will add people to follow to your list.

Sometimes, you just want to look at all the beautifulness.
When you're logged in, you will typically be thrown on your landing page, where you can see everything that your friends are pinning.
If you select "Everything" on the top left, it will show you EVERYTHING everyone else is Pinning.
Some of my most favorite finds come from the Everything button.
Seriously.

So is it social networking?
Yes and no.
I have several {real life} friends using Pinterest.
One is planning a wedding using ideas via Pinterest.
I've used several ideas for a wedding I'm helping with {that's in 10 days!} from Pinterest.
We talk about Pinterest all the time.
"Did you see...."
"I added you to a board so that you can help me with...."
and so on.
It comes up in conversations.
You can write on other peoples profiles but there isn't a TON of social interaction.
You see what they like.
They see what you like.
It's all about being visually stimulated into a coma of loveliness.

So there you have it.

Here are a few other articles about Pinterest you might find enjoyable:

Young House Love {if you don't read their blog, you should!}

So mom, are you ready for your invite now? I know you'll love it.

I was not paid or perk'd to give this review of Pinterest.
In fact I was asked by my mom to give it.
She's awesome like that.
