The ending of a Chapter

Ok, I've been pretty quiet, but I'm pretty irked at the moment.

Due to one person's choice of being a pirate and stealing things to use in her kits, she has taken down an entire site. Just by association.

Am I kidding? No.

Digital Candy has decided to close it's doors. Up until the 15th of May you can purchase your little heart out, and then after that your downloads are available till May 31st. (MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR STUFF USING MOZY!!!)

I'm a little pissed off. All the exclusive designers now have no place to go. Trixie Scraps is included in that bunch. Yesterday was a ball of emotions and well, I'm not one to just lie down in it.

So today is the beginning of a new road for many designers. To find a new place to sell.

But in the meantime, there are some AWESOME sales going on over at Digital Candy.

= one crazy {inter}National Scrapooking Day WEEKEND!

I spent all my time at Digital Candy participating in the events! :) Here is my show off!

First, I was able to get some CT work plugged in, besides the fact I had to scrap the pictures from Easter anyways....

So I used Trixie Scraps "Cottontail's Garden" kit! Super fun! I loved this kit! :)

This was for the Saturday afternoon Speed Scrap hostessed by Tracy herself :)

This one I did for one of the most creative challenges I've seen, called Mystic Pizza. What a blast! :) I placed an order for an italian dinner, and then she came back telling me what my order was! What I had to use in my layout. It was Awesome!!!


Then I did the MEGA challenge. The Scrap A Thon. 10 challenges in 3 days. And in the end I get a wicked coupon pack and a bag full of freebie kits! :) I'm super stoked! Each layout below is linked to the Digital Candy Gallery where the credits are. I'm too lazy to post them here ;)

1. use an old kit in your stash
2. Scraplift a page from Linz gallery (btw, she has AMAZING layouts for inspiration!)
and to top it off, I recieved Layout of the Day at DC for it! :) Thanks girls! :)
3. create a layout using the "Red High Heels" mini by Little Missy Scraps
I used this opportunity to punch out one of the pages for the His Holy Name challenge at Faith Sisters (I'm soooo behind!)
4. The Divinci Code: use a set of items that was listed
5. Create a layout inspired by a song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
6. Create a layout about you
7. Use a template
8. Why do you scrap
9. Use one of 3 Dr. Suess quotes in your layout
10. Each element used in the layout has to be from a different kit. So since I have 7 different things there, they could not come from the same kit. It was difficult and FUN!

Slumber Party Anyone?

This week I was able to play with Trixie Scraps kit: Slumber Party.
It is a great kit for all your girly layouts, but don't be fooled, it can be used for the boys too! :) There is PLENTY of blues and yellows as well!

We are back in business!!!

Hello everyone!!! I'm officially a digi-scrapper again! lol Ok, it's not like I never was, it's just I was without the tools to be one! NOW though, I have the tools, and my is it nice!

After much trouble trying to buy a PC through the HP website (more an issue with my bank) we decided to wander down to Best Buy to see what they had. I came home with a Compaq Presario CQ60. It's really nice. I like it. And Vista only bothers me a bit. It'll take some adjustment time. :)

So last night I busted open PSP and started to work.

Here is what I did:



This is using the kit: I Lost My Tooth! By Trixie Scraps, available exclusively at Digital Candy. :) This is by far the best Tooth fairy kit I've seen. I cannot wait till Princess starts loosing teeth so that I can put the full thing to use!!! :) Those fairies are so cute!!!

Sneak Peek of a great Mega Kit!

Here is a sneak peek at the new Designer Collab Mega kit coming out on Friday at Digital Candy. All proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes.

I'm super excited to promote this upcoming kit for 2 reasons. My son and my daughter. Both were born prematurely. And although we did not receive aid from March of Dimes, nor were they severely preemie, I still support March of Dimes whole heartedly. I can commiserate with the stress of having a premature baby in the NICU. It's heart wrenching and your whole world is in a small little bundle that you can only touch a few moments a day.
